What it is:
Wolverine Camps is a great setting for the inspired eye to capture
beauty and create memorable pieces of art. From stained glass design
and silk painting to watercolors and clay sculpture, students of all
artistic levels can develop their creative techniques in this week long
camp. Tuition includes most art supplies, additional fees may incur
based on number of students enrolled.
Phelps-Rusche: As the
former Petoskey Middle School art teacher for over 35 years, Kathy has
brought excellence in art to the landscape of Wolverine Camps. She is a
graduate of Western Michigan Universtiy with a BS in art education. She
started her masters degree at Michigan State University and finished it
at Central Michigan University. Kathy’s art work has been commissioned
both privately as well as by civic organizations such as the Petoskey
Public Library and was awarded the 2010 Teacher of the Year, by the
Rotary Club of Petoskey.
Zimmerle: Kurt is
an artist from northern Michigan who received a BA in studio art from
Principia College in Elsah, Illinois and has a K-12 art education
degree from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids,
Michigan. Kurt has worked as an interior designer, mural artist, and
visual merchandiser, and is currently teaching K-12 art in Ellsworth,
Michigan. He has also worked for the Lego Company as a master builder.

This is a coed camp, open to students entering the 6th - 12th grades in
